Estonian identification card is a transnational digital identity available to anyone in the world interested in administering a location-independent business online. There are a huge number of cards already issued to people around the world.

With Estonian id-card one could digitally sign documents and contracts; establish an Estonian company online; administer the company from anywhere in the world; conduct e-banking and remote money transfers; establish an Estonian bank account currently requires one in-person meeting at the bank but the Estonian government already passed the law to the Parliament which opens up the possibility to open an Estonian bank account without personal meeting in the bank in Estonia but remotely; access online payment service providers and declare Estonian taxes online.

Please be advised that e-Residency does not automatically establish tax residency.
